Mrs Bronwyn du Plessis

Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” This is a quote that Mrs du Plessis lives by and holds close to her heart.

Mrs du Plessis graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Financial Management Degree from the University of Johannesburg in 2007. She decided to further her studies and obtained her PGCE through UNISA, which she completed in 2012, with cum laude. She has over 18 years of teaching experience, dealing with children from nursery school all the way up to Grade 7. She has been at St Catherine’s since 2016 and currently teaches English and Drama for Grade 6 and Grade 7, and coaches netball.

Mrs du Plessis has a passion for teaching, and her goals are not only to enrich the minds of the younger generation but allow them to connect with others on a meaningful and spiritual level. She hopes to help mould unique individuals who are capable of reaching for the stars, while doing and creating new and empowering tasks.

As Malcom X said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.”
