Mrs Lorraine Kirk

Mrs Kirk completed her schooling at the Johannesburg Art, Ballet and Music School and spend some time at Wits university studying under great professors of music and theology. She was Director of Music at Uplands for 27 years, and built a marimba Hub in KaNymazane and a music centre in Kamagugu. Mrs Kirk started at St Catherine’s in January 2020 as the Music teacher for the Pre-School and Preparatory School.

Mrs Kirk is a passionate teacher on the piano, clarinet, saxophone, recorder, guitar, organ and marimbas. She would like to build a culture of music at St Catherine’s where every pupil can play a musical instrument.
